KeyPoint Credit Union in Milpitas, CA

I have been a member of Keypoint from when they used to be American Electronics Association Credit Union and have never had any problems. I have been with them for over 20 years.

Keypoint gave me an auto loan at a very competitive price. They did this even though I was new to the US and had no credit history. They give discounts for: higher down payment, shorter tenure, new vehicle and automatic deduction. When I was dealing with Keypoint, I had approached another credit union (Tech) and I had also asked my bank. Keypoint's interest rate was half that of what Tech was offering, which in turn was half that of what this big bank (where my salary gets deposited) would offer. This generous interest rate allowed me to bargain for a better price on my chosen car in lieu of zero percent interest. There was only one glitch though, the lady who was dealing with my loan had to go on maternity leave. It seems she lost the documents and the post dated cheque I had handed over to her. I received a letter from Keypoint suggesting that I had not paid the emi. I had to visit the Keypoint office to provide all the documents again. In this confusion, my interest rate was set at 0.25% higher than what the lady had promised. I can't complain much though, their interest rate is still half that of the other credit union I contacted. My interactions with Keypoint executives have always been cordial. I would recommend that you approach Keypoint credit union if you are new to the US and have no credit history. I do not think you will get better rate of interest and better behaviour anywhere else.

Keypoint Credit Union was the only lender who would give me financing for my 2014 Ford Focus back in January of 2014. After that I decided to do all of my banking and finance with them. They are awesome.

Good credit union to use for certain banking needs that I couldnt get elsewhere (free checking acct), and they have the usual list of available retirement accts and whatnot.
