Foundation Finance subjected me to a bait and switch that cost me over $20,000 in the end. I would advise avoiding this company like the plague. Not only for how they conducted their business, but also for how they treated me after problems were identified. I applied for a loan of $26,000 to cover the purchase of a new kitchen. I endured the underwriting process, and came out the other end being told that I was approved for the entire amount. This is when everything got very shady. As there were two portions to the install process, I was told that even though I was "approved", they would not be funding the 2nd portion until the kitchen was actually DELIVERED. Additionally, they said even though I was "done", that I "might need to be evaluated again later" before actually funding. Obviously i took issue with this ridiculous statement. Either I was approved, or I was not approved. I needed to know immediately before signing a contract to put the kitchen on order. I made numerous phone calls to their office to confirm over and over, that I was in fact approved for the $26,000. Nevertheless, someone always made sure to slip in the comment that they retained the right to change their mind later, "if my financial situation changed". I should have ran for the hills then and there, but I tend to assume people aren't dishonest criminals. So I accepted their "approval" and signed a contract for $26,000 worth of kitchen to be manufactured, and shipped. Can you guess what happened? Three months later, just prior to the arrival of my kitchen, I was informed that Foundation Finance had found "numerous issues" with my financial paperwork. They came up with an incoherent list of nonsense, reflecting that they hadn't understood what I gave them all of a sudden. Ridiculous claims, ridiculous wrong assumptions, and generally grasping at straws to justify their (you guessed it) "Decline of Financing". Yes that's right. They approved me. I signed the contract with their partner to buy a kitchen. And then they bailed on the financing 2 weeks before delivery. To say I was livid was an understatement. I attempted to contact them and discuss each item on their list. Clarify what they had misunderstood. Address any and all issues. They literally ignored all of my emails. They just kept repeating that they'd decided not to fund the $26,000 anymore, and their decision was final. When I attempted to speak to someone on the phone, I was literally lied to by the phone rep, who kept putting me on hold for the Vice President, who kept telling him to tell me he was too busy to talk. I am now stuck with $30,000 worth of kitchen, and no money to pay for it. Because Foundation Finance baits you, and then switches at the last minute. After they concoct a bunch of absurd "reasons" for their worries. And when you try to resolve those misunderstandings, they avoid, avoid avoid. So my suggestion to you: Avoid this company like the plague.

I have had a business relationship with this company for a year now. I went and got a customer approved for two new high efficiency Rheem HVAC systems to be installed. Equipment cost is 9,000 and the total cost of the job was a little under 15,000. I received the approval to do the work from the company and have all the emails that show the company instructed me to proceed with the job. Then I have emails stating that I would be funded. Then a jerk from this company named Ben tells me that they are cancelling my dealer status with them and that they will not fund the job. How is this even legal. Ben says it in my contract that they may terminate our relationship but it's not addressed that they can do so after a job has been approved. This company is full of crap.

I have been using Foundation Finance for about a year. Something happened about 4 months ago and they changed. We have had a success rate of 95% approval which is pretty good. However, do to an error on their side, they will not pay us the full agreed upon amount. They had sent us an approved and proceed letter. 4 days later after we completed the work, they decided the applicant needed a co-signer. This co-signer had bad credit which then effected the loan amount. Now instead of financing the 95% agreed upon amount, they will only pay us 85%. or nothing at all. (take it or leave it) Vendors watch out for these peoples bait and switch routin. Strongly recommend you using someone else. James B Owner
