Review Eau Claire Auto Group Bargain Lot and Credit Center

Bought a car, letting them know I was looking for something reliable and safe. Within a few days, noticed that the car had a mouse issue, and that it hadn't really been detailed. It had been briefly cleaned (like rag ran over the dashboard and seats), but not cleaned beyond that. I removed many piles of mouse poop, and caught 2 mice in traps I set in the vehicle. After realizing my vehicle had mice, and due to droppings found in the spare tire area, I can assume it had many mice at one point. Thinking back, I remembered how all the vehicles we had test driven had random wet looking spots by the cup holders, on the dash, etc. which were urine marks from the mice. Not too surprised, since the dealership itself smells bad, like mice. So point #1, look for mice, or evidence of mice, before buying a car. Then, within 30 days of having the vehicle, it died on me in rush hour traffic in Milwaukee- incredibly not safe and very frustrating! ! I called Rob the manager (who honestly, I feel like he strong armed the sale. I wanted to walk then, and wish that I would have) to let him know what happened and all I got was "there is nothing I can, and will, do for you. I dint have a crystal ball and cant forsee these things. Good thing you bought the extended warranty, I am not touching that car again. Call the warranty people and deal with them." Not even a "sorry that happened" but immediately a very defiant and hostile tone. Turns out, the car was out of oil at 3,000 miles. At closer inspection, ALL of the fluid levels were low. There is no way the car passed a 60 point inspection. We are suspicious on if they even looked the car over, and if the oil was changed (and why wouldn't they top off all of the fluids?? The brake and windshield washer fluid was very low, which seems like the first thing a dealer that knows there stuff should look at and fill!) Anyways, since the car obviously consumes a lot of oil, it should have legally been noted on the window sticker, and it was not. Now today, driving home from a family Christmas, after having the car for 1.5 months, the check engine light, ABS, and check Stabilitrak lights all came on. This has me concerned, since we have a 300 mile drive arranged for tomorrow. At this point, I would much rather have my 14 year old 230,000 mile car that Rob laughed at and said they wouldn't take. Oddly, that 14 year old beater is a way better car than the one he pressured me into buying. All in all, incredibly disappointed with the entire deal. Our sales guy was great, we liked him, but Rob and the rest of the deal, was horrible. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere before here. I have had good experiences at Eau Claire Ford, and the best car buying experience EVER at Jc Auto, across the street from the Bargain lot cesspool. Only shop here if you are desperate, out of choices, and ok wit making payments on a car while paying for surprise repairs.

NEVER GO HERE! We have had nothing but issues with their services. We had agreed to have certain things fixed on the car after our purchase and there happened to be a "convenient clerical error" in regards to what was supposed to be done. So, if you do buy from here make extra sure to double check your documents, because we were assured everything we had discussed was on there. When later confronted about the error he (Rob the manager) happened to not remember it and he was going to fix everything that was stated. We had to bring the car in 3 separate times to get 2 things fixed so we had to bring it back again for the same issue. We then asked about the other 2 things that were to be done and he remembered telling us this time (funny how that works) that he had assured us he said that he could NOT fix it. And since it was not on the document he cannot do anything about it. We have 3 witnesses who were there and know that it was a complete LIE. Had to learn the hard way that this person is a dishonest jerk who has no problem taking advantage of you as long as he gets your money. Cale the assistant manager was very nice and I would have no problem dealing with him again, but everyone and everything to do with their service was terrible outside of him. I would highly suggest not going here, and if you do, make sure all the paperwork is correct before you sign anything.

Do not buy any cars from these people! If I could give them less than one star I would but that is not an option. My sister-in-law bought a car from them a few weeks ago and since then has only put 1100 miles on the vehicle. SO FAR The car has died multiple times while driving, dash lights have quit working and so have the headlights and tail lights on the passenger side . Mind you this is a 2011 it is not like it is an old car . She did purchase the extended warranty for $86 a month. She did purchase the extended warranty for $86 a month. As soon as she started having these problems she took the vehicle back to the parking lot to have them look at the car. The manager, Rob, had assured her before she bought the vehicle that it had been inspected and everything was good to go. When she took the car back with the issues he was very defensive and told her that it was too bad and there was nothing he can do. She called me because he was treating her so poorly so I went down to the dealership to see what was going on . As did my husband. When I got there I was appalled at how rude and inconsiderate this man was. Mind you my husband and I do know a few things about cars seeing as he works on his own cars. When we asked him what he found wrong with the car he said that there was metal shavings in the oil but he could not tell us why. When my husband asked him what he is going to do about this problem his response was " that's not my problem. The car was perfectly fine when I sold it to your sister. Good thing she bought that extended warranty. You go right ahead and take it somewhere else." I do not know how this man can conduct of business the way that he does. He treats people so horribly and does not back up the vehicles that he has sold. I have bought A couple cars from the regular Eau Claire automotive group and they are wonderful. I feel ashamed for them to have their name on that lot. Unfortunately the issues do not end of theire. This so-called extended warranty that he so graciously sold her does not cover most of the problems that the car has according to the mechanic. On the paperwork that she signed it says that it does cover electrical and they are saying that no it does not . And as for the metal shavings in the oil all they are doing with the motor is changing the timing chain . This is not going to fix the issue . So now my sister-in-law is out $9000 on a car that she cannot even rely on to get her children to school . So I advise anyone that is looking to buy a car from these people to please please look somewhere else. There are many more dealerships that deserve your business .
