ABNB Federal Credit Union in Portsmouth, VA

Trying to pay back my car loan, they offer 0 options if youre not able to mail in money every month. They cant do auto pay from your bank account, so if you drive a semi as a team and stay busy youre pretty screwed.

What a terrible bank, they are stuck in the 80s of banking. I have a car loan with these guys and it is impossible to pay online. The response I got was looks like you can't pay online you'll have to come in to make payments. Come in? On top of this I get the bill for my loan 3 days after it is due, every month. They are hoping I am late on my payment. Their response: I'm sorry. No if you were sorry you'd fix this.

This bank and it's employees have been fantastic. They gave me an exceptional rate on my new car loan and auto pay from my bank account. Would highly recommend to a friend.

I have my car loan through ABNB and I have had nothing but positive experiences with this institution. I lived in Virginia when I took out the loan and they had many different branches where I could make my payments. The reason I chose ABNB was because they had the best interest rate and allowed me to finance my new vehicle for either 48 or 60 months. One down side is that they do not have online bill pay where you can pay for your loan each month through a portal. I read a review that the person didn't receive their statement until three days after the payment was due. Well, my car payment is due on the same day each month and that doesn't change. I don't need a statement to remind me of the financial responsibility I signed up for. Since I took out my loan, I have moved to another state that does not have ABNB locations. I was given the options of 1) mailing in my payment 2) calling in my payment each month (this has a $5 convenience fee) or 3) choose a shared banking location in my area. So far, I have called in my payments each month and every time the agent answering the phone has been very nice and helpful. I even get a receipt in the mail confirming my payment. I will definitely keep a relationship with this credit union even after my loan has been paid off.
