Chesapeake Pawn and Gun in Chesapeake, VA

I used Chesapeake Pawn and Gun as my receiving FFL twice. Ryan did all the necessary paperwork and communication with the sellers as soon as I asked. He kept me up to date and answered all my questions. The young woman at the counter was polite and friendly. Finally, Kurt the gunsmith took the time to look over one of my guns and even gave me a 5 min tutorial on one of its features...at no charge! They are all fantastic and I will only work with them in the future. Thank you for a great experience.

Salesperson knew my husband was looking for a gun with a safety as a gift. He's not a big gun person so he was relying on her advice. She showed him a nice model that had everything he was looking for. He decided to purchase it and then she showed him the next model up of the same gun except it had a laser. Cool. He'll take that one then. Well guess what? That one had no safety but she neglected to point that out. So when the gift was opened and he realized there was no safety, he just put it back in the box and said he'd take it back and exchange it. Guess what? Once you leave the store, it's a used gun and they'll buy it back for half price. The salesperson never told him that. So I wouldn't recommend buying here unless you watch and listen carefully.

Last time I was there to do a firearms transfer the "bulky girl" behind the counter was not rude but I got the impression that I was a bother or that she did not particularly like to wait on old guys (77) with a hearing deficiency or perhaps since I bought the gun online instead of Chesapeake Pawn & Gun, she didn't care very much to do 'just' a transfer but they advertise doing so. Maybe I just read her wrong but I hesitate to go back. A shame too since they have a great selection and the last gun I bought there was competitively priced.

Emily helped me find an old rifle I was looking for, though under a re-branded name it was exactly what I was hoping to find. The asking price was less than I was expecting, so I picked up a used rifle bag and a 50% off leather tuck holster for a revolver I had at home, both for just $30 more. Rifle is in great shape for the age and the other items will definitely get some use. Friendly staff and great prices, can't ask for much more.

I have gone to Chesapeake Pawn & Gun on a number of occasions, and each time I walk through the door Im greeted by everyone. This store offers some amazing items and weapons at a great price and they also make you part of their family. They have a gunsmith (Kurt) who's experience and knowledge on all weapons alone is priceless and he knows what he's talking about and is willing to work with you no matter what you bring him. Then you have Heather, Emily, and Cheyenne three amazing women that have amazing personalities, work ethic, knowledge, experience, and amazing customer service, these qualities alone is what make Chesapeake Pawn and Gun great and I will return their to do more business.
