SLS Mortgage in Brandy Station, VA

My home mortgage was sold to SLS (Specialized Loan Servicing) couple of years ago. In twenty five years I have held mortgages the SLS provided the worst service I have ever experienced. If they ever answer the phone, the representatives are incompetent, and rude . They are unable to answer basic questions regarding the mortgage. They can not even explain how the escrow account is calculated. Avoid this company if you have a choice.

SLS serves as the loan processor and manager for our recent home loan. Right from the start it was apparent that Blane and the SLS team had my best interests in mind. Blane's knowledge and expertise of the available loan options and home purchasing experience helped me save thousands of dollars (not only in the life of the loan but in upfront closing costs). As a first time homebuyer, I wasn't the easiest client to work with (I had numerous high blood pressure questions and obvious concerns), Blane and his team continued to understand and listen to my concerns and provided top knotch service. First time home owner here. We had to give 60 day notice where we were living and I won't lie when I first started the process of buying a home sls was the broker and it started out good with getting ready but as the first month went on it was falling apart and I was not getting much communication from the broker. I started with one and then another broker and with less then a month I had another broker from sls. I was actually not to please with how things were going and it looked like it was not going to work. But April took over and was the 3rd broker from sls to take over and she started the whole process from the start with 30 days left before I had to move where I was at. I had my doubts about how the process will work out and specially on getting to closing before I had to move but April started to work and with in 30days she got the job done. I will tell everyone that I was not impressed with sls at first but I am very impressed with April. I will recommend her to anyone that is looking to buy a house. She did an amazing job and she kept me informed through out the whole process. Even my realtor was telling me that we would need to do an extension on the closing but April worked hard and got the job done and at the start the other 2 brokers had my interest rate at 3.75 and April got me a loan with a 3.25 rate which saved me money. So for who ever is wanting to buy a house I seriously recommend you get April as your broker. She did a great job. Thank you April
