Quick Loan in Salt Lake City, UT

Horrible, lying mess of a place. The owner of the branch initially agreed to a 300 dollar settlement on a 425 dollar debt. Initially, a loan for 320 dollars was taken out. 3 payments were made on the loan bringing it to 230 dollars. Then, as fate would have it, I was laid off. I explained this, the girls in the office were great (I thought) and worked with me. I tried to make more payments when able... Over the course of a couple more months, I made 2 more payments, but saw that my balance with late fees charged was now 460 dollars. Needless to say, imo 230 dollars in pure late fees is getting a little extreme for a loan that was 320 dollars to begin with. So, I tried to get them to offer a settlement. They refused. I continued to try to find a way to resolve the issue, finally getting 300 dollars lined up, which was offered to ME on the condition that I could get them to agree to a settlement and this would resolve the issue. I called them, asked if they would ask the owner, please. They referred me to corporate. I called corporate, who discussed it, called me back an hour later and asked if I could have the 300 dollars to them by that day. I said yes. They then said ok. So, I took in the money. I should have been suspicious when the manager, after telling me, "oh you're so lucky! the owner NEVER settles so consider yourself lucky that he did!" then said, "Oh... so next week when the paperwork has gone through you'll get a notice stating that the account is paid in full, etc", but it did seem reasonable that the paperwork might take time... Ofc, if I can manage to fulfill my end of the bargain that day I should have required at least SOME confirmation. But I'm trusting, duh. So, a month later, I get a call telling me I needed to come in to make a payment. WTF? I tell them it was my understanding that I was paid in full. Nope. "well, the owner decided not to accept the settlement" Ok... well you were paid 300 dollars on the conditions of the settlement. Don't accept the payment if you won't fulfill your half you sheisters. Its clear they just pretended to offer a settlement to get the 300 dollars. If I had known this was their game, I would have paid them my amount due, 32 dollars and called it good until the next payment was due. This is just scratching the SURFACE of this companies BS. In the world of POS emergency lenders, Quickoan on 600 East 500 South Salt Lake City is the granddaddy sheister of them all. Don't go near them.

Oh my God, best customer service of anyplace anywhere! These girls really know how to kick some serious butt!

I am a concerned on how they report to the credit bureaus. They will not issue the borrower a letter on there letter head with the account name and balance updated. THIS IS REQUIRED BY ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS. They also add all interest to the balance which KILLS your credit score. I will remove the review when they change there process to help there clients not HURT THERE CLIENTS CREDIT.
