Goldenwest Credit Union in Ogden, UT

We love Goldenwest Credit Union. They are a great local credit union that is GREAT with auto loans!!! Competitive rates and great service!!

I bank at Goldenwest and have just barely moved from Layton to Ogden. I must say this branch is the worst branch I've been to. My mom and I decided to stop going there because the customer service is awful. The tellers are really nice but I have had to work with the loan officers and they do not have great customer service skills. When I was getting a loan for a car I dreaded having to go in to talk to them because most of the ladies were impatient, unfriendly, and always seemed annoyed with having to work with you. Also, my mom was there a couple weeks ago and was completely ignored for 45 minutes and ended up telling the ladies she wasn't happy with the customer service and no one even seem to care or acknowledged her. We are now going to the branch on 8th street- which has way better customer service and it is definitely more of a lively branch.

This credit has the basics that you would expect from a local credit union.

You can't make a payment on your bills unless they like you there out to get you and your money. I would not recommend them at all. They are shade people who just do care about there customers. Go to America first.

Dustin Hodges has been incredible. He helped me get the lowest rates anywhere in the states. He was careful in explaining all details and gave me his cell number to contact him. I pestered him with a lot of questions and 'what-ifs'. I had a tight deadline for some financing deals and he made sure we came in on time. He has stayed late at the branch to meet me to sign papers and handle face-to-face transactions. He's smart , personable , capable and knowledgeable. If all the GoldenWest people are like Dustin, you've got a great team. All my dealings so far with GWCU have been met with courtesy and professionalism. Great place. Two thumbs up.
