Utah First Credit Union in American Fork, UT

$50 dollars minimum in savings to open an account with them, which wont be used when you get an overdraft, instead they will wait 3 months to call you once to try and collect a ridiculous amount before sending it to their collections lawyers you tack on a "reasonable attorney fee" of at least 250 bucks. find somewhere else to bank

EDIT: I have had some problems with Utah First over the last few years. However, when I expressed my concerns through a google review Utah First reached out to me and did everything in their power to make it right. I am now going to keep my account open with them and give them another chance to be the credit union I once knew.

Friendly staff, no mistakes made with my accounts. Fewer fees than the big banks.

Holds ridiculous amounts of every deposit for 6 months. The best credit union if you don't want access to your own money. Thanks Utah First for showing me there is a bank worse then Wells Fargo!

2 reviews 1.0 star rating 4/14/2017 Not upfront with you at all. After we committed, surprise after surprise, delay after delay, all in the name of "we're changing our loan programs". The managers heading up the mortgage department must have used car sales backgrounds. After wasting over $35,000 in fees and surprise interest rates all within 18 months I finally had to take this mortgage and refinance somewhere else with much more favorable and honest terms. I leave this here for your benefit. Save yourself and go somewhere else.
