Wells Fargo Bank in San Marcos, TX

This location does and good job. Not the best but it is the only wells Fargo branch in town. And given that the University gives wells Fargo Bank accounts that makes it a very busy location. But they are normally very helpful

Wells Fargo is by far the WORST financial institution out there. Parents please do not allow your child to obtain a student loan through these morons. The-y promise you the world until you sign on the dotted line and then they become EXTREMELY RUDE. My daughter received a student loan from them. Within less than 6 months of her graduation they began hounding her for monthly payments of over $1000.00 a month. We explained she had not found full time employment and the response was, and I quote "What did you think you would only have to pay $10 a month". Her father and I began trying to help since they would not work with her. She begins her master's program in September, she will be in school full time all her loans through other means were deferred Wells Fargo flatly refused to defer first stating it was not a federal loan and then saying no it is because we do not finance the school you are attending (the University is in London). It should not matter what school you attend full time student is full time student. My daughter is now have a complete nervous breakdown over this issue.

Great experience. The staff was welcoming,nice and look to help me as soon as I got in the building.

I'm not sure what type of training the employees here are receiving, as the atmosphere at the bank was markedly unprofessional. Between the tellers dropping casual f-bombs within range of customers' hearing, to one particular teller advising a pair of Hispanic customers to "Just go back home" when they were there to convert their currency into dollars, to the security thinking it was permissible to play catchball in the building with one of the customers (who was apparently a friend of his), I felt more as though I'd stepped into a frat-party than a bank. Granted, this is a college town, but a bank is still supposed to be a place of business. The employees need severe reprimands and intensive training on how to behave in a mature and professional manner. Moreover, (to no-one's surprise) the organization at the branch is haphazard, and cashing a simple check took me half an hour as the teller had no idea what she was doing and kept having to call an older colleague to help her. Not going to this branch again, and seriously considering not dealing with Wells Faro in general because the lack of professionalism is so off-putting.

Helpful staff. This location has always been very accommodating in helping with any problems with accounts. One of the Bankers Sarah gets the five star, due to excellent professionalism. Thank you!!!
