BB&T in McKinney, TX

I've used BB&T since early 2015 by default when they took over all of the Citibank locations in Texas. I had use Citibank for five years with absolutely no problem for both personal and business accounts. Since the switch to BB&T, I've had nothing but problems for both personal and business accounts when switching over accounts the lady behind the desk mentioned that BB&T was primarily an insurance company, & a bank second. I now know that they were telling the truth when they said that, because they clearly have no idea how to properly service a bank account for either personal or business purposes. I've since switched both business accounts and all of my wife and I's personal accounts to Chase bank and have grown to like our bank again! My biggest regret through the whole process? ..... not closing our BB&T accounts sooner! Good riddance to you BB&T. I'm not normally a fan of being negative, but I really hope you close your doors sooner than later and stop taking advantage of people and businesses!

I read the previous review about Chase and had to chime in and say how after 25 years with them left after them issuing a loan to someone else using my information and then after that shared my online accounts with another customer. Choosing BB&T was the best decision I have made in banking and Andrea Harvey is the definition of great customer service there. I know the difference between chase and them so not going back

We went through exactly what Mathew Latham described in his review. Worst bank ever!!! We had been with Citibank for 15 yrs and never had problems. We switched over to Chase and what a MAJOR difference. Great bank!

Listen, I rarely write reviews but I feel this is a total misrepresentation of Citi and now BB&T. Citi bank is GONE people. A new bank came in and saved who I consider the best bank staff ever. Better? Yeah sure. BB&T has helped me more than any bank with my businesses and my personal household accounts. The staff is amazing and friendly. If you don't like the rules of the bank it surely is not this branch. The manager networks weekly with me at the Chamber and volunteers her time. The staff is always kind to this old geezer. I have been around quite a while. Don't expect a bank to bend rules for me or anyone. I keep my checkbook balanced and never have had any fees. I have moved my business accounts all over now and I am glad i did and love my branch.
