Imagine a fast food restaurant with an assembly of workers that all hate their job. Some of them are young and disinterested, some are older "washouts" of the game of life, and a couple are out-of-check egomaniacs that think they rule the world just because they are the "manager" of the grease joint. Now take that image-- remove the fry baskets and spatulas and transform the establishment into a bank. This is the Lampasas branch of the National bank of Central Texas. I will give you a "cast of characters" so you will have an idea of the experience you will have when you go to this bank. Cast: Overweight and middle aged woman and self-important divorcee who thinks everyone is not aware of how lucky they are to be in her presence Sociopathic creepy fake charming man who probably rapes teen girls "At least she is pretty" ditzy girl who obviously landed the job for only her physical attributes Cigarette Sally-- a 40 something denial ridden used up mess of a lady And the VP of blank stares lobotomy recipient who sits in an office and interacts with nobody. Enjoy you experience.

Quick and friendly. Not a national bank so ATM fees would be high for travelers.

The staff was friendly, professional and informative. I didn't have to stand or wait to be greeted with a smile. I had less than 30 minutes to open an account and get to the school to pick up my kids. They however, were unaware of the hurry I was in. I was given all the information I needed, I made my decision and was out the door in plenty of time to go get the the kids. They even entertained my one year old grandson with a small badger football and a sucker.
