This bank creates so many roadblocks when you are trying to handle an issue it borders on insane. I found out my Grandmother's caregiver was allegedly forging checks and stealing money out of her account. Per Texas APS I filed a durable power of attorney (POA) and attempted to provide the main branch in Jourdanton a copy. After 2 weeks of excuses (fax machine not working, we must physically see your social security card, no returned phone calls, etc) I am finally at the point where all they need to do is forward the POA to their main office. I received a call that the COO of the main Jourdanton branch stated that I needed a Statutory POA. Here's the rub: the Statutory POA covers 14 areas of control whereas the durable I filed covers 15 and states legal venue (more than the one they wanted). Without reading the POA they stated that I need to get another one (Statutory). So I am supposed to take my 91 year old grandmother, already being victimized by a caregiver, through this process again because no one at the bank's head office will actually READ the document? I knew I was in trouble when I walked into their San Antonio branch at 12 noon on a weekday and NO customers were there, just 3 employees entertaining themselves. This is quite possibly the worst bank you could ever use in my opinion and if something were to happen to you where you needed a POA you are screwed if you try to work with them.
