First Community Credit Union - Alief in Houston, TX

Have an excellent credit and some funds in savings acct but was declined a credit card because am legal permanent resident and not yet US citizen. It makes no sense because I have a credit limit of about 10k with Chase Bank that I don't even have an acct with. Also have with Wellfargo so why the discrimination in First Community. Their bureaucratic policies are insensitive to customer needs and satisfaction which is not good for business.

FCCU is a fantastic and supportive credit union. I've been a member for almost 30 years and never had a bad experience. From basic banking to investments and loans they are there for you every step of your life.

They took money out of my account 4 times , not even a small account. EACH WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION . EACH WITH AN APOLOGY LETTER ADMITTING THEY WERE AT FAULT. I tried to close my account and they said " We can't close is because the last case is still processing. ALTHOUGH YOU ARE FOUND TO BE NOT AT FAULT. IT IS STILL "PROCESSING". I left 48 dollars in my account in case of pending charges. There was one of only 20. Now I receive a notice of an overdraft for a card I haven't used in who knows how long. DONT GO HERE UNLESS U WANT TO LOSE MONEY . AND THEY WONT EVEN LET YOU CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNT EASILY. I was just going to leave. NOW I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS. Oh. I got their last letter apologizing yet again for withdrawing money out my account without authorizing . Yup still got an overdraft notice for a card I haven't used , that I LEFT WITH 48 IN BALANCE. NO BILLS OR ANYTHING WITH AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWAL. NONE. YET SOMEHOW IT'S BECOME NEGATIVE.

I love FCCU. The rates are the best I've found anywhere and the service at this location is wonderful. Everyone is always knowledgeable and helpful. It doesn't get crazy busy either so the longest I've ever waited is 15 minutes to see a personal banker.

I can't put 5 stars because one of the tellers totally gave my Id and driver license and I had to pay for another DL, which isn't fair because she fucked up and I was shocked that they didn't even penalize her for it. They must like having dumb mistakable females because she got a reward for that. But everything else about this union is positive to the point where I can overlook that one BIG mistake and say that I would recommend somewhere here and they seem to have had my back when fraud played a role and I like there requirements. Because some credit unions /banks be having ridiculous requirements. The only flaw is there isn't more of these around and when I leave the area; unfortunately I will have to leave the union.
