Extraco Banks in Harker Heights, TX

I held an account for 7 months at ExtraCo...I frequented this bank daily and lost my drivers license one day the manager (a man with short sandy brown hair) refused to give me money based on policy. However for a bank who see's the same person everyday, a person that gave accolades and gifts to staff, not to allow a withdrawl of $50 on a Friday before a holiday weekend indicates that this bank does not hold Texas hospitality qualities that other local banks do.....I suggest Union State Bank, which is right down the road.

My bank card was "hot carded" due to recent fraud in the area. Extraco initiated no contact with me in regards to this issue. Tried to use my card yesterday at HEB. Error. I went straight Extraco ATM in heights. Error. Extraco turned my debit card off last week on the 7th apparently. This is the third instance in two years where they block me from my money. I have to call them to get it sorted out. I'm done. USAA

I will never bank with extraco again! They are only about the money and not about the customers at all! They Screwed up and didn't even own the mistake and now i'm out of money due to Extraco taking out fees. I have banked with Extraco for years. I had all of my direct deposits from my job going to them. I had lost my job and at the beginning of the year and had to change my acct to an acct that would charge me maintenance fees. With that there were only a set amount of transactions I could do before I would be charged fees. Well once I started working again I went into the Harker Heights Extraco branch to get forms to set up my direct deposit with my new job and to change my acct back to bonus banking. The woman that assisted me stated that she will take care of everything I needed done. I stood there as she typed and then she gave me my voided check and told me I was all taken care of.I walked out under the false pretenses that my acct was changed. I set my direct deposit and started trying to pay my bills. One of my family members was set to have surgery today and I'm in charge of paying the co-pay. I went to check my acct and saw that fee were taken out 4 times. When I called to talk to a banker about this she said that she would have to email the manager to look into it. I stressed to her my situation and the urgency of me needing my money back. Long story short I spoke to the Harker Heights manager and she displayed no compassion or understanding whats so ever. I was basically told sorry for you luck and I didn't receive my money back for the fees all because the banker that had helped me failed to have me sign a paper. My family member who is very bad shape is paying the price of all of this!! I never would've thought a bank could be so evil and heartless!! If I were anyone I wouldn't bank with them at all! It will be only a matter of time before this happens to you!
