Texans Credit Union in Frisco, TX

Poor customer service. In addition they sign you up for a checking account with no fees. Then change the requirements months later and charge you fees; typical greedy bank. Lastly they charge you an inactivity fee just to keep your money. I guess holding onto a person's money requires a lot of attention.

The past two years Texans charges monthly fees for inactivity, fees for sending money, fees for closing the account, and now they are charging fees for overdraft protection on a checking account that I closed months ago. I will be closing this account and will not bank with Texans again.

Don't fall for the whole notion that credit unions are somehow better than normal banks. My experience has been the opposite. The mobile apps and website is YEARS behind normal banks and they charge fees actually more than I incurred through normal banks (Bank of America and Wells Fargo.) Also, I have come in to this specific office a few times and every time I dread going because it takes forever to speak with someone and things don't usually get resolved right.

We LOVE Texans Credit Union. We joined 8 years ago when we moved to Frisco. They went thru some changes about a year ago but bounced back beautifully. They area kind, considerate, very eager to serve, they call me by name, they don't try to push other services on us like some other bigger banks do. I had very bad experiences with Bank of America in Frisco and also Wells Fargo who we used to have our mortgage with. We would go there once a month and they "always" would ask if we wanted to get a checking account with them even though we begged "Please put a note on our account so you don't ask us each month." Thankfully our mortgage changed banks. Texans has that small town bank feel. They serve many companies and have branches inside companies if you wondered why it's not packed out like the big guys. We love that there's not a million fees every time you make a mistake. We LOVE TEXANS and plan to stay with them as long as we're in Texas!

The tellers are always courteous and quick to assist you. It always great to do business with an institution where the employees take the time to remember your name. I've tried BOA, Compass and others but I will never leave Texans again! Do yourself and your money a favor. Bank with Texans!
