Smart Financial Credit Union in Conroe, TX

The person who was supposed to set me up an account was so rude and disrespectful I actually just said forget it and walked out half way through. I wish they had a no star option. I have no clue how they get business to their credit union with the people they hire. Hate smart financial

This credit union is perhaps the worst Ive ever belonged to in my life. I was considering writing a negative review when I first opened my account and had to go through hell to get it all situated. Ive had to complain/inquire to customer service 4 times since November because sometimes my deposits wont show up. It took them literally 2 months to send my debit card after I started the accounts. Now, my most recent problem is that my payroll direct deposits aren't showing up on my account, and rather than help me, customer service tells me "the problem must be with your place of employment". So I took in my paystub to prove the problem was with SmartCU and only then did they take me seriously. Bottom line, their tellers are usually wonderful people, but plan on battling customer service and the higher ups when they lose your money and deny responsibility.

This is the best place I have ever done business with. I love the Conroe Location. they approved a loan for us in one day and had the money in the bank that night. We have been doing business with Smart Finc. for years and have never had a problem. Even when our debit cards were hacked after using it at a store that had their files hacked. One trip to the Smartfinc. and they put our money back in our account no problem.

They charged me a $30 insufficient fee for $2.50!!! When I called to have it reversed the customer service was rude and kept saying I wasn't who I said I was and refused to speak to me even after verifying all info and told me I had to drive an hour to my nearest bank. I will be canceling my services with this bank and going to better bank
