Imortage made the process simple and was on our side the whole time. We got a great rate and couldn't be happier!

I had to use Imortgage because the were a preffered lender in the complex I bought at. I have to say that they made promises they did not deliver on. I locked in a rate for our mortgage 2 weeks before closing. Locked it in!!! and then at closing they told me that the mortgage insurance they had didn't go through and that it would cost more for the mortgage insurance. I don't even know if this is legal. What's the point of locking in a mortgage if when it come to closing it costs more???? I would never do business with these guys again!

Worst experience ever attempting to close with them in 2014. Then when my taxes for 2015 were due they realized I was approx. $300 short from my escrow. Now dont get me wrong they fronted the money and I paid them back . They calculated the taxes wrong so no big deal i expected my mortgage to go up in 2016 to cover the taxes completely. Howver instead of going up $30 they jacked it up way more. They stated that i needed to $2500 extra in my escrow account to cover any overages from now adding almost $300 to my monthly payment. I asked about it and they stated it was over a 12-month period to get me to the extra $2,500. I said this just seems wrong you can't make me have more money in my other than is necessary the lady continue to say that it was something that they did and it was in my contract and I didn't have any other option I continue to beg and plead to see if she can help me out because an extra $300 would put a huge strain on my family what she did was she said I can make it over 24 month period instead of a 12 month period she also lowered it to $1,500. He stated that this is the best she could do because they have to have something to fall back on I said I don't understand why I'm being penalized for the mistakes that your company made when they miscalculated my taxes. I have no problem paying the amount of taxes that I owe because it's what I want what I have a problem with his paying more money than is necessary for no reason. the female I spoke with said this is all that she could do to help me out and that she said she hoped it helped. I told her I would you'd rather get the 400 thousand from my house when the loan is fully matured or would you just want the two hundred plus thousand if I decide to refinance with a different company. a company policy in there is nothing that I can do. I called multiple other mortgage companies and they stated they didn't do this and that this something weird that they've never heard of that very same day I refinance my loan through USAA. It actually cost me $6,000 to get away from the company but it is a $6,000 and I'm happy to pay to get away from such a horrible company. This company is I believe the same company as Meritage Homes if you're planning on buying a home through them understand it's going to be shoddy workmanship inside the home and they slap them together the structure of the home is very good is the cosmetics the small little things that they mess up. I wrote this review because I hope that no one ever gets stuck in the situation that I am i because there are some people that couldn't afford the extra money that they attempted to charge or the refinancing fee that I had to take on when I refinanced.
