Fifth Third Bank & ATM in Smyrna, TN

I have just recently started using the branch off Sam Ridley because it is closer to my job. I mostly use the ATM to deposit or withdraw any money but one day I had to use the teller. The first lady that was helping was very nice and greeted me with a smile. Unfortunately, what I needed done she was not able to complete so she asked her co-worker to help. I did not get the same friendly vibe from the new lady, she was abrasive and seemed irritated with my questions. I also have my mortgage through 5th/3rd which for the most part I LOVE but I also hardly deal with anyone either. I did recently have some questions about my mortgage so I called the branch closest to me (just in case I needed to go in) but sadly I would leave numerous of messages for someone to call me back about my mortgage and nothing.... I finally called once again and demanded to speak with someone but they still did not transfer me to the person I needed but instead just told me they could not help. This branch seriously needs to work on their customer service skill and also their follow up skill. Very disappointed with my iterations with this branch.

They can be helpful, if you can get them to answer the phone. About a year ago, they stopped answering the phone in the office. It is extremely difficult to get anyone at the local branch. You get transferred to a contact center.

I worked at this branch for around 5 years. I can tell you without a doubt you will not find more caring or responsive personal bankers. Glenn, Errol, Kristen, and Nick are all completely dedicated to helping out each customer through specific situations in life. First hand I can tell you that they re-built credit for people that thought they could never get homes. They also have helped clients save that never thought they could. Banking can be an extremely fast paced and demanding business. The professionals at this branch will give you 100% of their attention every time you step into the office.

The service here is horrible. I'm writing this review in my car, whilst waiting for my very simple payment to be applied. I've been waiting for this transaction to happen for 15 minutes. The teller wasn't friendly, and wouldn't help me with some very basic subtraction. Then she turned around to assist someone standing inside at the counter, with no warning. Please work on this asap, fifth third...this is why I didn't want my loan at your bank in the first place.

Once you enter this branch you will hit by stinky carpet in face, you will also here Robot saying (Welcome to 53rd). I've been going to this bank for the past 4 years. The staff never same they always have someone new, Customer service always RUDE, except Adam. They really need new people that been in banking business, with positive trainer.
