Simmons Bank in Jackson, TN

Predatory practices. Chose to pursue a widow with cancer only two weeks after her husband's death, and for a debt that was not her own. Harassed her and even bothered her on the day of her surgery for cancer, although they knew of it. The absolute embodiment of what is wrong with banking in our country.

I recently moved to Jackson, TN from Orlando, FL and was with my bank in FL for 21 years due to their customer service. I asked around to some people who have been in Jackson for quite some time and 5 out of 5 referred First State Bank on Carriage House Drive. To me, 5 out of 5 people recommended this bank, speaks volumes. I have banked with them for a year now and cannot say one negative comment about them. When I come into the bank, I am always greeted with a warm smile (you can tell when people smile because it's part of their job or a true caring smile). I've never had to wait in a long line whether it is in the bank itself or using their drive-thru. They always have enough staff on board to accommodate their clients. When I have a question regarding my bank account (I usually bank online) whether I contact someone at First State Bank in-house or customer service phone line they have always been very nice helping me and will take whatever time needed to resolve my issue. As always, they would end the conversation with yet another warm manner. When I set up my account at the Carriage House Branch, I was actually set up by the VP and I felt special that she went out of her way to help me. She was completely thorough about how my bank account will work and what other options that First State Bank offers. I can tell you now, as long as I am in Jackson or any town in TN that has a First State Bank Branch, I will never change banks or even contemplate the issue. If I am asked, I will recommend them and I definately commend them for their continous service of excellence and for their work ethic.

I am shocked to see a negative review. Personally, I absolutely LOVE First State Bank! My banker, Amy Mescher, is by far the best banker I have ever encountered. She has gone above and beyond her call of duty to meet and succeed my expectations of the services that banks offer. I know Amy would not be able to do this alone without a solid bank behind her. I enjoy banking with First State so much that I even switched my business account from Regions Bank to First State. I am extremely satisfied in knowing my money is being handled properly and with care.

I go to Simmons Bank almost every week. I have always felt welcomed and always greeted with a smile inside and drive through. I too am shocked to see a negative comment about this bank.
