Moved for Johnson city to Bristol TN Because I bought a house everything was running smooth until I encounter BTES I lived in Johnson city for 6 years so I used Johnson city Power board loved this company they were always great, so I stopped into BTES to get power turned on the lady pulls up years of bill history and picks out the highest bill and charges me double that as a deposit I about hit the floor when she told me how much it was going to be the get lights turned on it was just shy of 1000 bucks, I then proceeded to ask if them company could pull history from JC Power board as a reference on my payment history then she looked at me in offense and said that they were number one in the tri-cities yeah she tried it! However I've lived from SC,NC,TN and dealt with many Power companies and this is the first time I ever had to deal with such outrageous deposit. I almost called news channel 11 about this.

Whenever I have dealt with BTES they have been very professional and very helpful. I work for a local non-profit charity with 13 buildings that are spread over two campuses. If I have to call, BTES always responds in a timely manner and solves our problems.

So on top of the employees not being customer friendly or acting like anything more then robots, the Internet going down everyday at 4pm, being slow the rest of the time. Never bothering to call customers back and barely knowing what they are talking about. These idiots don't take debit cards in the office. Are you kidding me? What year is this? Who doesn't take plastic? To add one I just paid my bill they added an 8.27 convience fee to my bill. Really wtf? It would have been convenient if you had a damn card reader at your office.
