Watertown Employee's Fed CU in Watertown, SD

They are growing financial institution that is in over there head when it comes to handling the daily transactions of your checking account. They only update your balances every few days on the online banking website. They will transfer funds from your saving account without your permission to cover outstanding charges in your checking account which may seem ok but then they will still charge you an overdraft fee. If you have a loan with them and also have a checking or saving account with them and you find yourself unable to make ends meet and can't make your loan payment from time to time they will take the money from your direct deposit from your employer and apply it to your payment without your permission and leave you high and dry for funds available for your personal expenses and other monetary obligations. They just aren't capable if competing with the other banking institutions modern conviences like being able to see an accurate updated account balance online or from an ATM machine moments after a debit card transaction. I'm very seriously considering closing my account here soon after being a member with them for over twenty years. I'm not happy at all with them.

I was very dissatisfied with the unfortunate dealings with Avanti Credit Union. I spoke to a loan officer and expressed my disgust for the way they handled selling a repossessed vehicle. I spoke to the board members who did not seem very sincere with my problems. I was told to, "Give me a break" by the loan officer. I was also told by one of the board members that, "It would be best that you would not call our Loan Officer again because she was very upset, because one of our Board Members is a Police Officer in Watertown." I do not know what they meant by this, but overall I would give them a 0 out of 5. I would not deposit $.02 with this bank/"non-profit" (Non-taxable) credit union. That is my $.02... Why would you give these guys your money when they do not even pay for your local schools?!?
