Dick's Pawn Shop in North Myrtle Beach, SC

Very unprofessional, was buying a DVD opened the case and seen no disc assumed they kept disc behind counter to prevent theft, then after I pay I asked the guy where the disc was and he said you should have said something before you bought it. And after I went and pulled 2 more movies off the shelves with no disc inside he finally gave me my money back.

I bought an electric guitar, put it on layaway, it was $400 I paid $40 a month untill I had $100 left. I came to pay it off and pick up while waiting I saw an Xbox one with kinect $299 they also had halo 5 for $23 I got paid in full and he took off 10% for making my payments on time every time, AWESOME! But when I got home the controller didn't work I called the show they told me to bring the controller back and they gave me a new one with a turtle beach attachment for the hassle with the first one. I would definitely do business there again.

This review is only in regards to Dick's jewelry store at the shop across from Ocean Lakes Resort. These people have thrown my blood pressure through the roof. My first ring was purchased by my boyfriend in 2014 for about $100. There was nothing wrong with it. No more than an hour after I left the pawn shop, a stone fell out of it (the ring only has 9 stones in it so it was very obvious). I went to a jewelry store in my hometown and they replaced my missing stone for MORE THAN THE RING WAS WORTH. Our most recent vacation in May 2016 resulted in a trip back (not for us, for his parents) and I happened to find a ring I absolutely fell in love with. I was so reluctant to buy it because of the previous experience. But my hormone to diamond ratio was high that day, and my boyfriend purchased the second ring for $200. Less than three months later, the band snaps because the resizing was not done properly. I have already paid over $100 for the first ring to be fixed for their mistake, and now I have a second ring that will probably result in a bill around $50-$100. I cannot speak of non jewelry merchandise or the affiliate shops, but I can say to STAY AWAY from the jewelry and if you insist on a purchase, be ready to pay extra for someone else to fix their shortcomings. I will never EVER go to any of their locations ever again, maybe never a pawn shop in general.

Had a very unusual and frustrating situation, at the fault of someone other than myself or Dick's Pawn. Ultimately resulted in me having to deal with Dick's management staff, who were all very helpful while sorting through the confusion, even after regaining their potential loss. Will definitely take any business I have there after receiving the best loan price and great customer service.
