It’s not the size of the bank that matters, it is more so about the services that the bank provides, in relation to fees that patrons pay to be a part of Citizens Bank. The late fees that are attached to having an overdraft are three times more than other Philly banks and what local credit unions charge. In my opinion – these fees place a burden on many people that fall into a financial difficulty, especially if an individual is in a transitional period of their life. There are many other alternatives than banking with Citizens Bank, but, one bright spot is that they do offer a checking account even if your credit is not in the best of shape. Pros: Friendly and professional staff, and understanding if you have to close your account due to financial restraints. Banking staff does not make you feel pressured whenever an account needs to be closed. Cons: Expensive banking fees and overdraft fees.
