Wells Fargo Bank in Stroudsburg, PA

It used to be a not so great bank when it was Wachovia. Now that it's under Wells Fargo the girls are very nice and the service is great. I only cash my checks there because their both drawn on the old Wachovia Bank and there is a fee for doing so but I would have to pay that anyway to cash it since I can't have a checking account. I'm totally disabled and the tellers are very nice to me along with the other people who work there they go out of their way to help me when I'm there to cash my checks.

Worst Bank...EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can never get them on the phone.. No one answers keep getting the recording Negative 5 stars

This is the worst branch I have ever dealt with. I own a car dealership who finances vehicles to the customers. In some cases, the customers get an auto loan through their own banks or unions. In these cases most of the lenders issue a check with the selling price to my dealership name and the customer's name together. I ask the customer to sign the back of the check and I make a copy of his driver license. When I deposit it in this branch, I attach a copy of the customer's driver license. There are no rules in place. It always depends on the bank teller attitude. Sometimes, they don't ask for a copy of the driver license. Other times they ask for it. The last time, the manager who is not helpful at all, she asked me to bring the customer (who lives 120 Mi away) in order for me to deposit this check. I don't waste my time with her. I started to deposit these type of checks in any other WF branch without any problems as long as the check has a stamp on the back indicates that it was issued for a car loan. Please keep in mind that this review is applies to Stroudsburg branch only. If you plan to use it as a local bank, I suggest you to go to any other bank.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would after the experience I witnessed there today with my nephew... my nephew went into this branch to withdraw his tax return that was deposited into his account and he was told he wasn't aloud to make a withdraw and that his account is being investigated for fraud... after they told him he can take the money out today... this bank needs to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau for fraud... if you can... stay the hell away from this bank and go to another institution

Customer service is extremely poor. No one answers the branch office phone -- ever. I recommend banking anywhere else. I will be moving my accounts to another bank as soon as possible.
