TD Bank in Royersford, PA

Better bank than many others ones I've dealt with. Haven't had a problem with them (yet).

So I'm sitting here as we speak...tellers apparently can't help us. We're all waiting for ONE customer service guy, who is queued up for what feels like a small eternity. I came from VA to buy a car in PA, and they won't accept a check from my bank unless I fill out an endorsement release. OK, fine. We've been sitting here a total of 30 minutes because only one guy is able to get us a form to fill out? I want to go home...not hang out at a TD bank all afternoon. In short, their check acceptance process is stupid, and their in-branch wait time is equally, if not more stupid. Bank here if you like waiting painfully as the cold clutches of death inch closer and closer as you waste time, I guess.

I'm not a TD Bank customer but when I ran in one time for a roll of quarters I was warmly greeted and served.

Generally fine. My biggest complaint is lack of drive-through ATM, which apparently is a corporate decision. Hours are good compared to other local branches.

I went into open an account with TD because I'm a former Commerce account holder I just never seemed to make the switch for the years they have become a TD. The Manager was very rude, and wanted way more information about myself then needed. He also tried to say I was trying to start an argument so I proceeded to leave before he called the cops. Me being African American definitely did not help my cause in this predominantly Caucasian town. So I just walked out and set up an account over the phone. Yes! You can set up a TD account over the phone. I had to find the courage to walk back in and complete the steps needed to receive my printed on site debit card. Needless to say the manger still did not want to open my account because I did not have a Pennsylvania address. Go figure! I went to college and I've never had to present my college address because I had a permanent home address on my state issued ID card. Long story short I was assisted by Timothy the Customer service representative that was very polite and professional with me. The manager came up to me and I honestly felt so uncomfortable having to deal with him. I wouldn't say avoid this branch but the manager should really learn how to be professional. No bank wants to lose a potential account holder. Also don't expect to have immediate access to any funds you deposit into your account initially for one full business day. Overall I would definitely say open a TD bank account for great convenience, but not for the individual branch. I could help them learn a thing or 2 about great customer service. I changed my rating because I got a follow up call about my problem promptly from the Regional Manager Tim. He was polite and also was able to communicate without trying to make me feel inferior to the situation.
