Before today I would have been very happy to write a good review. Recently Citadel updated their online banking. Since this update I cannot check my online statements. I have called and spent over an hour with their technical support with no luck. I was told it was a problem on my end which is interesting since I did not change anything it was them that did an update not me. I have gone into my branch twice with no resolution as well. I was told I could get paper statements but would be charged $2 each time. So I am the one penalized for their upgrades. I was told they were having issues with Mac computers, so obviously the problem is on their end and not mine, but it is I who am penalized. I will be shopping around for other credit unions at this point.

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service is HORRIBLE! I financed my car through them via Martin Honda. I put $10,000 cash down on my car and Citadel financed me for the remaining $10,000.00. After a year of me making monthly payments my boyfriend was murdered (the result of a botched robbery) and a few months after that my father passed away. I fell behind 2 months but I was making partial payments. When I reached out to their customer service department I was told what I was going through is my problem and if I wanted to keep my car I had to pay the entire past due amount plus an additional $529.00 which I was told were repossession and towing fees even though my vehicle was NEVER repossessed. I didn't even know that was legal. Plus how can I be sure that my vehicle was actually out for repossession?! I asked the deputy attorney general in my state to call Citadel to see if she could get more assistance than I, but to no avail. The representative told the deputy not to try and make her seem insensitive and a supervisor will call me back then HUNG UP on the Deputy. The Deputy was utterly disgusted and advised me she had NEVER come across a credit union so "hard up" for money. She told me she has always known for credit unions and banks to work with you with these types of loans because cars are not their expertise and they really only want the money not the car. The Deputy advised me to wait for the supervisor to call me back and she would speak with him/her if she was available. However; the supervisor NEVER called me, so at that point I had no choice but to take Citadel's word for it and pay the additional fees to keep my vehicle from actually being repossessed. No one worked with me during my time of need and because of that I couldn't afford to give my father a funeral. All I could afford was to have him cremated, and then I couldn't even afford an urn. The funeral home gave me the nicest black box they could find for my father's remains until I can afford an urn. I have NEVER received statements or any correspondence via email or mail from Citadel showing my payments and/or advising me my car was in danger of being repossessed. Nothing referencing my account balance, payments or payoff amount, and I absolutely despise calling their company because of the way their employees belittle and berate you. I guess they're all rich and PERFECT inside that company and they do not tolerate anything less than! I will be refinancing my loan through another bank asap that's employed with actual human beings and not money hungry robots!

Customer service is non-existent at this place. They won't reimburse you for their errors and expect you to remain calm after saying they can't help you. I've had better customer service at McDonald's than this place! I will terminate my credit card account and my car loan through them as soon as possible! I'm so disgusted with them!
