I did not have a good experience with this bank at all! I opened my account on a whim because I didn't know that you had to be a customer to cash a check, because other banks that I have been to, that wasn't necessary. So thinking it would just be an easy thing, I opened it with $50. When I opened the account the lady kept asking me if I wanted any extras on my account and I continually told her "no". I didn't want checks or ANYTHING extra. Well, I didn't need it so I didn't use the account for 4 months. When I did, I got $20 out of the ATM, so in my mind $50-$20=$30 so I thought I still had $30. A few days later, I had gone to WalMart and didn't have cash so I used my card, it was a $6 something purchase, so $30- we'll say $7 is $23. So thought I still had $23. The next day I went to use my card for a $20 purchase, thinking "it's ok, I will still have $3 in there" NOPE! It didn't work! Because I had never used my account I never opened any bank statements. So that day I got home and opened one, come to find out the bank has charged me for internet banking (which remember I said I did NOT want anything extra) for 2 mths! So I called the 800 # at the bottom of the statement and they told me just to talk to a manager and they would reimburse my money since it was a mistake. I go in to speak with them and they tell me that not only have they charged me for the internet banking that I told them I didn't want but that they had charged me an inactive fee. So out of $50 they have now TAKEN $19 of it! I asked how I could be reimbursed the money for the internet banking, they told that they couldn't do that because they could only refund money for bank errors! It is a Bank error, because they were charging me for something that I told them I didn't want! So then I try to close the account and they won't let me without me paying them another $15 because it is 2 weeks shy of 6 months! So I have to wait 2 weeks to close the account, and hope they don't charge me an inactive fee for not using the only $2 they have allowed me to keep!

Called City National Bank Customer service to ask them if they offered a particular service. They said yes. I asked them which location was the closest to where I was. This was the located. Customer services told me that they could handle my business and to asked for Linda when I get there. It was 10 minutes to closing. I told her I will get there right at 4. (Closing time) I arrived right at 4..... running from my car the whole way in to the counter. Just for their "Closed" sign to be up and 2 associates chatting it up and apologizing for being closed. I was like.... Customer Service told you I was coming. All I got was a "Sorry" and then went back to chatting.

Hands down the most helpful, polite, down to earth, friendly, approachable staff I've ever encountered at a bank... most any business for that matter. Every time too. A bank is a bank is a bank for the most part. The staff here sets them apart for sure.
