Lake County Educational FCU in Painesville, OH

I can only praise the Lake County Educational Credit Union and its staff for their care and professionalism in handling all of my dealing with them for the past 30 years. i solidly recommend all of their services and have NEVER had a bad experience with this institution.

Awful business practices. They do rotten things to their members. When I personally had my own financial crisis while I became a single dad of an infant, all of my creditors worked with me to have my debt paid down at a level I could afford. All, that is, except for LCEFCU. They unnecessarily garnished my wages putting me in total financial crisis by taking too much of my small take home pay and keeping me from paying down my other creditors. This was a horrible personal experience. All of this was after talking to the manager or whatever decision maker was there. They actually blamed the garnishment on a "rogue" employee who was over zealous and who they supposedly fired because of this. Really? How unprofessional on every level. Despite this place's best (or worst) efforts, I have been able to rebuild myself back into a state of perfect credit and a very large savings - not one penny of which will ever go into this place's coffers. I am still angry about the awful treatment that I don't think I have ever experienced from any other institution before or since.
