M&T Mortgage in Syracuse, NY

M&T Bank has horrible customer service and they stole money from my account. They improperly executed a levy not meant for my company that contained an invalid address, the wrong name, and wrong EIN. They refused to return my funds and I am now suing them. In my opinion, they are thieves. 6-1-11 Update: M&T paid $2300.00 to settle the small claims action I had against them. It would have been better if they paid the whole amount back. Negotiating with them to fix an error they made was definitely not customer friendly. As I told Barb Petruso in their legal department, I wouldn’t do business with M&T again even if they were the last bank in the country. I would rather use my mattress.

Did not provide accurate or timely information. dropped the ball multiple times and placed blame on others. Missed deadlines which led to me loosing my current home for a month and not have a new place to go, worst experience of my life. 100% insensitive to my personal needs throughout my first home buying experience. I would NOT use M&T for anything, especially if you want a mortgage.
