USALLIANCE Financial in Port Chester, NY

I recently used USAlliance Federal Credit Union for an auto loan. Everything was fine as long as I didn't have to interface with them at all. It took me four calls and multiple payment transfers to pay off my auto loan. I should have gotten the correct pay off amount the first time I called, and that should have been the end of it. I got multiple wrong pay off amounts when I called. Some of the people I got on the phone were generally difficult to talk to (I don't mean having an accent, that wasn't a problem). The department that accepted my payment and processed my car title did not communicate with me at all during this process, though I asked them to keep me informed and to expedite the processing. Customer service is less than adequate. Their website is adequate, but not easy to maneuver and not full of information, by any means, either.

Was a customer for two years, got into some financial trouble and my account went into the negative. Not only did they abuse their "privilege" of charging a $35 overdraft fee, they didn't even pay the charges that made the overdrafts, and they did so on 4 occasions, 3 of which were for the same $9.99 that kept not going through, the other one was a $20 check. So USAlliance feels entitled to charge you $35 to not pay a transaction. They feel they deserve $140 to reject $29.99 of transactions. Pure scum. They just recently had a location close down in Hartsdale, so I hope the rest will follow. Screw this place.
