Bank says I owe $350 in fees. In Mid March 2011, I opted out of overdraft protection at this branch. So if I had no money in the account, I wouldn't have to worry about a negative balance and an additional $35 fee. The branch manager didn't file my opt-out properly, and in the next 5 weeks I ended up with $350 fees for $100 in transactions (Average transaction $10.27). The bank has refused a refund even though it was through their error, and they won't let me close the account till I pay them $400.
