Capital One Bank in Garden City, NY

So very glad this isn't my bank. I had to take care of a banking matter for my mom...on my lunch hour...When I arrived there was 1 customer service person at her desk w/a client and what appeared to be a regular on line waiting for assistance. When the regular asked if the service person was alone, she responded everyone was out to lunch or on vacation. I waited for service long enough to drink an entire hot coffee, the self serve Kerig seems to be the best thing there. When I was finally asked to take a seat at the desk a teller yelled out that she needed verification! There were no customers at the teller windows so I didn't see the urgency ( the only urgency was that my lunch hour was ticking away) the customer service person disappeared for 5 minutes while I waited. her coworker finally came back from lunch & proceeded to have loud unbusiness related banter w/the tellers. (I was clearly getting disgruntled, customer service rep #2 might have inquired if I was being helped) My transaction was taken care of in a record 40 minutes!!! In all my years of banking, having friends work in banking gone to the bank on many lunch hour I have never seen a branch so poorly staffed at lunch, when many people have time to go to the bank. My friends in banking normally have "off" lunch hours to be available for the customers. I just don't get it...one more reason I LOVE Bethpage Federal Credit Union & why Capital One will never have me as a customer

This is just am average review. I have not been banking with them long. This is my first month with them. However, I wanted to state that these hours are not accurate. They do not open until nine.

The teller Dorothy is super amazing. She's always friendly and makes that branch always a pleasure to go in there.

There is no access to an atm after hours!! What a Waste of time

Bad bank. Crap Bank Takes your money Won't give it back
