Seneca Mortgage Servicing in Buffalo, NY

Mortgage was transferred over to Seneca but the supplemental property tax was never transferred or paid by escrow resulting in delinquent late charge of nearly $50 on a $300 bill. Seneca said it was not typical for a mortgage company to pay supplementals but I was never notified and anything resulting from the transfer should not have been my problem. The previous company had records of the supplemental and paid it and was also scheduled to pay it. The transfer resulted in a loss of $50 and 3 phone call transfers and long waits for nothing.

Good luck trying to get through on the phone to Seneca Mortgage. I waited over 30 minutes before I finally gave up to make a payment and was able to finally do it online. I couldn't imagine if I had a important question and had to get through.

Unbelievably bad for the business they are in. Where shall I start? They bought our new mortgage immediately after we refinanced, and although they say they sent an info package we didn't get it. Since they had bought the loan, we had no info on them at all, even their name, without contact from them. * After a few weeks, as the first payment is getting close, they tried to call me on my cell phone at an odd hour, but didn't leave a message. * A few days later they called me while I was working, and insisted that I call back rather than giving me the payment information I needed in email. * Their 866 number phone robot doesn't work right. It doesn't accept touchtone entries and eventually hangs up. So calling them doesn't work. Clearly they stay in business by buying loans, and could care less about how crappily they treat their victims. If you have a choice, stay away from these jokers.
