I signed Loan Documents 1/10/17 and the loan was funded 1/17/17 and as of this date I have not received my welcome packet with all the necessary papers. My reverse mortgage is a line of credit and my intention from the beginning was to pay out of pocket for the almost 8600 dollars loan origination fees etc. and leave the minimum amount to keep the loan in place.(in this case 50 dollars)I phoned today (2/27/17 and spoke with a customer service rep and his supervisor and found out to my dismay that they have been charging interest on the 8600 dollars since 1/1717 even though I have not received any documents. The supervisor said they did not receive the papers until 2/24/17. God only knows where the loan has been from 1/17/17 to 2/24/17. If the representatives that I spoke with know where it has been they are not saying. Something here is very wrong. I think that if they are that busy (so I am told) and backlogged to operate in a timely fashion that it is extremely unfair that I should have to pay almost two months interest since I have not received any correspondence from them since the loan funding 1/17/17. They are penalizing me for their lack of conducting business where time is of the essence.
