This is based only on the experience I have had with one representative. He is extremely rude and threatening every time that I speak with him. I have asked to speak with someone else or have someone else take over my account and he refused. Just because a medical debt is owed, doesn't mean that I am a bad person or should be spoken to with such a tone. He sets the tone of the call by the way he speaks with me at the very beginning. Very unpleasant experience every single time.

They are very unreasonable to work with! They expect high payment plans and want accounts paid off in less than a year, when sometimes that isn't reasonable. When you cannot agree to a reasonable payment plan, they make it impossible to make a payment and are very insulting. Just because people have medical bills that are in collections, doesn't mean they are bad people. Then their first suggesstion is bancruptcy, so they are saying that they would rather receive NO money, rather than extending a payment plan a bit longer...NONSENSE!

as far as debt collections go...it really depends on who you speak with and how willing YOU are to work with them. I called wanting to pay my debt off in full and they were pretty ok about it...when i argued with them at first a few months back and told them i didn't have the money to pay, they were pretty nasty...they are people like everyone else and they will treat you how you treat them. Lastly and most importantly. REQUEST A RECIEPT!!! they don't send these unless you ask for them. SOOOO IMPORTANT!!

Is getting better depending on who you talk to - I just tell them to switch me til I find someone. Now that they can do autopay with a HSA checking and account # will make life a lot easier and hopefully I won't have to talk to them again for the next 25 months. Medical bills are never fun to pay on but be firm with the amount you want to pay every month and they will be forced to agree with you. We told them what we wanted and now we pay for the next 160 months but at least don't have to worry every month about coming up with a large payment.

This place is a bunch of bullies that treat everyone like they are the scum of the earth. I tried to pay a bill since January waiting for Insurance to be applied and once it was it was sent to this place. Trying to reach your assigned person is ridiculous. They called me a liar saying I didn't try to call as no one is that diligent. They also referred to me as "one of those people" who doesn't pay their bills and lies about it. An agent offered me 20% off which they had in writing, but the person over her and his supervisor said it must have been a new person they don't offer discounts. They told me to write a letter and they would respond back and they never did. The letter was requesting the 20% off discount even though an agent there already said they would. Now I get a letter that I have 15 days to respond. I talk to the supervisor and he just lies and sides with the guy handling my account. He said they never take a day off and I couldn't get a hold of them because I never tried. What a waste of time working with these people. I paid my bill which I have tried to pay since January, but given the run around about a 20% off discount was a joke. These people have no customer service skills and are so jaded they treat everyone like they are liars and dirt bags. This never would have gone to this crappy place if my insurance would have kicked in. Avoid Jason and Trevor at all costs. If you talk to them (if you can even reach them) know that they are jaded jerks who will lie to you.
