I was medically discharged this year in a very short process of about 3 months, and went many more months without any income. I now have a stable job that I love, and even my VA pay started! (small miracles). When I tried to get my Star Card back on track, I learned it had been put in collections and was awaiting further actions (as expected, nothing wrong here). I tried to get everything back on track, offered to pay every late payment from May to December, and ensure my credit wasn't further damaged with pubic records and judge ordered income adjustments. They told me once its been cancelled there's no turning back, they offered me nothing, and demanded the full balance of over 8,000 with 24% APR fees, to bring my account in good standing, without any guarantee of an active account afterwards. This is ridiculous!! I sacrificed for years, I have a brace for every major joint below my waist just to walk correctly, I'm 100% disabled by VA standards, and I'm trying to do the absolute best I can with what I have. It's so hard to believe the company that claims to be the most active in our nations military families would not even listen to my circumstances, but that's exactly what happened. Do not shop here, do not support this company, do not give them the opportunity to harm your family. Let my lesson learned be your torch for these people.
