Where do I report a debt collector for an alleged violation? Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General’s office, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Many states have their own debt collection laws that are different from the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Your Attorney General’s office can help you determine your rights under your state’s law.

They reported me to the credit bureau after paying a bill and after they said they would not. I paid them and they still turned around and reported me--deliberately dropping my credit score. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY. THEY LIE. They also never sent me a statement. They never contacted me. They are not to be trusted. They are a very disreputable company.

As of now, I paid the collections in full a month ago and they eluded to the fact on that phone call that they would REMOVE the collections but now they are telling me they didn't say that. They said their policy states they will not remove them. They are "researching the call" now. I paid another "collection" they said wasn't even on my credit yet. How is it at the agency if it's not actually in collections? They said they sent me a letter on 3/30/16 that said I had 35 days to pay this before it reports to my credit. I paid it 5/3/16. IF they in fact have the collection and don't put it on my credit, then their "policy" is nonsense. I'm going home to dig through my mail for this "letter". I'll update this review when I see it.
