Truliant Federal Credit Union in Matthews, NC

Truliant neglected to send a statement to my address (after three years of receiving them). When I called to question, the customer service agent said Truliant needed my address, which I gave her AGAIN. I then asked what was due and when. The agent said, "$27 in two days." I asked, "can I pay you now?" "No, I have to connect you to a rep and they charge $12, for over the phone payment." Really? I've been paying more than my minimum, payments in between bill dates, waited for a statement (because I didn't know what was left due, nor if all payments had been applied). Truliant dropped the ball, didn't mail or even call to request further information (which they had all along). Normally, I work, bank, shop and do most business online. Truliant doesn't have the technology or safety measures in place (you can only transfer between their accounts). Oh, and they turned this into two late payments on my credit report, which is not easy to fix. Thanks again for YOUR BANKS' MISTAKE. I paid the account off two years early.

Went in to have them look at my auto loan for a re-finance. The woman I worked with was very nice, but never called me back when she said she would. Obviously they didn't want my business. Thanks for wasting my time. Updating this review to include that they decided that since I haven't used the account too much, they would make it "inactive" and shut off my debit/atm card. Now, I'm incredibly inconvenienced and even after sitting on hold for half an hour to talk to someone to get the situation sorted out, and even tried the over-the-phone verification, and my card is still getting declined. This has been a massive inconvenience, and since I no longer live near this location it makes it harder to get it sorted out and get to where I can spend my own money.

Worst bank ever! Customer service is underwhelming. They moved and no longer have a drive thru. I am moving my accounts to a different bank ASAP.

There's this thing called a payment due date. I always mail a check early so it doesn't arrive late. Well Truliant cashes it early which hurts me because I have to plan all my bills out around my payment schedule. Then I even date the checks for the due date and they still cash them early, how I don't even know. Then then you have the fact that I have not received a single account statement to update me on the amounts I still owe on my loan. I have been with them 6 months. My state credit union does and I'm happy with them. I have never seen a financial institution drop the ball so many times. Basics.
