Chauncey's Pawn & Gun in Elizabeth City, NC

Literally sitting outside their store during store hours and I am being ignored by their employees. I will never buy from here again.

I attempted to pawn an item on 5/28/16 and was told they could only do $20 I thought that was low and needed the money so I said ok. He looked my name up in the computer and said he could only do $15 because I didn't get 2 pawns out of 6 and one was from 2008! This is the last time I will ever waste my time going in there. I went to another local pawn shop and was given more than the first offer. Just about every time I go there they try to low ball me and this will be the last time. Don't waste your time they price used items close to new retail and want to low ball everyone. I understand they are a pawn shop and need to make money but Elizabeth city pawn and gun is much fairer.

Let it be known that I have a very above average knowledge of firearms. I went into the store asking for a few parts, one including an offset takedown pin, for an ar I was building for a family member. The guy at the counter literally said that it was the dumbest thing hes ever heard and why not just buy a whole new ar...its a 20 dollar pin...personally I like places that listen to what I want, not just sell me something I dont need.

All staff was pretty nice but this old white short haired lady was very snappy and rude. I heard some call her Laurie? She always tends to be very short and snappy!!! I hate when I go in and she is there. It dampens my spirits.

It's a reason why I haven't been in there in 13 years and decided to go in last month and today but every time I've been in there so far just confirms my reason. After today, never going in there ever again. I wish I could give it a half a star.....unprofessional, attitudes, poor customer service, and I seen them talk about customers after they leave the store...that guy had a valid point and I hope he doesn't come back....oh I know the reason why now....damn gun person fired my gun off in the store after I told him that it was loaded. This was when they allowed loaded weapons in the store. After this incident they stopped. I told the guy 3 times I'm looking for a holster and when he was checking to see if a round was in the chamber he locked the slide back and released it and pulled the trigger. The round hit the floor and ricochet in the ceiling. I have pictures of the incident. This place is a joke....
