When I had to sell against them at my old company I would always lose. Now I know why. Their rates are good, but their service is excellent. The whole team including my account executive, purchase specialist, submission hotline, Lockdesk, appraisal management and underwriting in particular are exceptionally helpful and problem solvers. Even though the criteria to qualify for a Quicken loan are stringent, at the end you are happy to end up with a satisfactory Closing and Funding. I've been a mortgage broker since 1991, so I've been around the block a few times; Last year, I followed one of my smartest lender reps (from a lender that had always been my go to lender) to Quicken (Wholesale) last year; I have to say that Quicken is the easiest lender to work with ever! Not only are they available after hours, but they work HARD to make sure my loans go through cleanly and swiftly. Communication with all departments is excellent. If there is a snag in underwriting, they automatically escalate to a solutions underwriter that works with the broker (and my smart rep) to figure out how to overcome the challenge. And no matter how anal I am with clean, fully documented loan submissions, other lenders usually have long lists of items needed for clear to close; Quicken on the other hand, handles most, if not all, of the 3rd party conditions behind the scenes (VOEs, subordinations, all communication with the escrow/title company, 4506T transcripts, etc.) so that I don't have to be burdened and overwhelmed by them, which of course frees me up to originate more loans!! Quicken has big time reduced my workload and stress level as well as impressed my realtor partners. Needless to say, Quicken has been getting the bulk of my pipeline. I am one happy camper :-)
