I have been a credit union member for about four years now. It started with a home loan for which I was not the best qualified, but they worked with me and I have had the home since. Since that time, I have had glitches where I needed to move money to and from the credit union on a moments notice. While it required scrambling, they were able to make it happen within the same day. For me they represent what "banking" should be, caring, flexibility, reasonableness... because those decisions affect real people.

Been a member for thirty years, never once had issues, I can get a loan any time with great rates. I'm a member for life.

I have been a member about 3 years and I absolutely love everyone at the Sauk Rapids branch particularly! They know my name! Genuinely friendly! Not fake! Know my name! They don't try to sell me products or services I don't want!

I thought my account was closed when I moved to California. There was positive $50 in my account at that time. They continued to take $5 in bank fees out of my account each month with ZERO activity until I went into the negative. I have a negative balance of $5 now. I tried to transfer money in but now the account is closed. I asked them to be courteous and waive the $5 and they refused. I talked two 4 different people and all of them refused to refund $5. I asked them if it was worth keeping the $5 over getting a disgruntled customer would is likely to post a review. They did not respond with an answer. They are the worst fee based credit union I have ever used. The people are very nice until something goes wrong. Then they act like a for profit bank that isn't for the people.
