What an awful bank!!!!!!!! They never answer their phones and their voice teller service is the worst!!! Have been trying to get ahold of them all week multiple times a day with no luck. It's ridiculous. Bring back the old way of doing things and have an actual person answer the phone!! Don't ever bank here.

I've been with this bank for my whole life and they are compatible with other with good friendly staff. However, they always seem to be behind in technology with online and ATM services up to date with options financial service. I gave the 1 star because the recent changes of name, website, and contact number been continues not working since Friday and they seem to careless about communication with their customers as we unable to do any online financial business...sad that the bank should have prepare better as I can't even contact them to ask about the interrupted service!

Staff is great. Loan rates are lower than conventional banks. Love popcorn Fridays!

Lake State Credit Union was great. If I ever had a question I could call them directly and talk with someone, or send an email and hear back the same day. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the service was very personal. The merger with Members Cooperative however has been a train wreck! They do not have very good account security, which is why I left. The day of the merger I was traveling on business and my debit cards quit working, thankfully I had credit cards to fall back on or I would have been stranded. It took them 3 days to determine that my cards were not associated with any accounts. Then I signed into my online banking and saw financial information that was not mine, I called and they fixed that as well (I wonder who was looking at MY financials). We decided to close our accounts and move banks. We had to leave one account open as we were not immediately able to change an automatic payment coming out of it. We made night deposit to cover the payment and later found out that they deposited our money in someone elses account!!! Causing us to become overdrawn. Come to find out, not all customers have unique account numbers, some are shared. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

You know before the switch, I really didn't have any complaints. But now, it's awful. The only reason I am giving this institution 2 stars is because the people who work at the North Branch office are good people and are on top of it. However, now whenever I call there is a waiting time of sometimes 30 minutes before I even get to anyone. That is ridiculous. Also their online banking is a crock. There is always something wrong with it. I just got off the phone with someone at the call center in Duluth, and over the weekend they "updated" their system. I got paid today and went online at like 11am, saw my deposit, then went to pay bills. Not even an hour later I went back online to make certain things had cleared, it told me that I had been overdrawn several times last week and the week prior. Which, isn't true. I write out all of my purchases so that doesn't happen. Since it showed, I was overdrawn, my account was then missing over $300! Thankfully, the person I did end up talking to explained everything, and apologized profusely. The "missing" $300 was the money I'd used to pay bills, the website just wasn't telling me that. Anyways, if I were you, I'd go to a wells fargo or something...
