TCF Bank in Monticello, MN

Poor customer service. This bank used to be decent about 3 years ago when I first started banking with them.They have "lost" check deposits, and it is now the 3rd time I have had to go in to the bank to get my name spelled right on both the account and debit card. They had both my license and SS card to get it off of. Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered with banks. Also, they now charge NSF fees when your account never actually closes the day overdrawn. This point I made to them both in person and over the phone and now their online banking site says this: "For checking and savings accounts, transactions are updated during TCF's nightly processing. Therefore, all your transactions may not be shown and the balance shown may not be fully available for immediate withdrawal. Debit card authorizations and pending withdrawals and transfers reduce the amount available for immediate withdrawal. Check deposits and other pending deposits may not all be included in the amount available for immediate withdrawal. All pending transactions may not be shown. Transactions may not be posted to your account in the order shown. Go to "Help" and then "Glossary" for a further explanation of terms." IF you don't want to read all of this crap ↑, here is the summary: BASICALLY, your online account MAY or MAY NOT be right- WE AT TCF are not accurate nor reliable in helping you keep a balanced register. Please resort back to the 1980's and right every cent you spend down with pen and paper since we can not be trusted to manage your account properly online, and very often will have mistakes and/or missing information.- But hey, their hours are convenient.

Google says you're open at 9 in Monticello, but you're open at 10... Otherwise, always pleasant.

I have always loved TCF bank. And the people at this one are really , really nice.

This TCF may be small. But it has got the nicest tellers around. They are people with lives, feelngs, good days bad days like all of us.

Everyone is super nice and friendly!! What a great staff!!
