Anchor Bank Eagan in Eagan, MN

I visit this bank on 4/29/2011, trying to open a checking account. A very mean old lady come out which I guess that may be she is manager here. She told me that I can not open a bank account here because I don't have a SSN and she show me a flyer about The Patriot rule, that said they trying to stop funding terrorists, and illegal activity. WHAT!!! I am not a terrorist, I am just a international STUDENT trying to open a bank account. Finally I ask her to do me a flavor that help me write a short letter, about that I need a SSN in order to open a bank account here. She also say NO, we can not provide that kind of letter, TERRIBLE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! MEAN PLEACE THAT I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY OF IT, COME TO WELLS FARGO OR US BANK THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A LOT MORE FRIENDLY.

Any bank whose manager asks for a SSN from an international student is either too provincial, ignorant, or biased to be a branch manager; bank just needs the Visa.
