Citizens Bank - Mortgage in Troy, MI

I was involved in an auto accident and was in the hospital for approximately 3 weeks. When I had gotten out of the hospital I had of course needed to catch up with financial issues and banking. My Checking account was overdrawn by $5.03 and I was charged $35.00 overdraft fee. 2 Days later I was charged another $30.00 and 3 days later charged another $30.00 so in total I was charged $95.00 for a 5.03 overdraft. I had called to speak with a supervisor a day prior to the 3rd charge hitting the account to advise of my situation and ask them to reverse. I not only sat on the phone for 20 minutes waiting for a supervisor but was advised that there was nothing that they could do for me cause they had already given me a credit within a years time (4 months prior due to an error i made) and I had another charge coming. I had advised the lady that I had proof of hospitalization and would be more than happy to provide it and she told me it didn't matter and that I should have had funds in account to cover the auto draft that was coming out of my account. I was in the hospital 10 days prior to the date of the auto draft in critical condition. I have several accounts and will transfer or deposit funds a few days prior to a withdrawn. She proceeded to tell me how I should run or handle my accounts and got a bit loud in doing so. In fact the supervisor didn't even ask how I was. Not only do I feel that Citizens Bank is an opportunist on peoples uncontrollable situation but they will clearly capitalize on people when they are down. They clearly are not about customer service and are about putting money in their pockets at any means necessary. This bank is a joke and i still cant believe that any company would do such a thing to anyone!! I would not recommend them to anyone and giving a one star is only cause I had to. They do not even deserve that. I unfortunately have to contact the better business bureau as well in hopes to prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.
