I've been banking here ever since I opened a bank account (well, my parents did for me!), and have not had any problems.

While I find the employees helpful, their website is lacking. It does not list you pending transactions. It only shows a difference in the account and available balances.

Love ECCU, well now Arbor! Thanks for having such great customer service. I never have issues with my banking. I love the app as well, makes it convenient to quickly look at my balance and make automatic transactions. Keep it up!

I've been with this credit union for 15 years and I loved it because It didn't charge me when I overdraw from one account to the other. I would even recommend this to friends and strangers because the bank worked so well for me. However, the moment I moved to Grand Rapids it became complicated to use. It's hard to access money and if I want to buy something for over 500$ on the weekend i can't. Now that I'm back in Kalamazoo it's getting worse. If I want to spend 300$ on saturday I can only spend 200$ on sunday and they won't let me raise that limit because I don't have a credit score. I can't even call outside of business hours to get that changed for a payment. With technology the way it is today one would think they could offer convenience but they don't. There's no place to call outside of business hours for problems with accessing your account if there's a limit on it even though the money is clearly in the account. Even the 800 number doesn't have the means to help with that. I even went in and asked and they said they thought there was a number to call but i'd already called the numbers and there was only fraud/lost or stolen card help. Even though all of this happened I wanted to stay because they don't charge for an overdraw but today I overdrew for the first time in years and I saw that they started doing that. There's a 5$ fee and of course I wasn't notified of the change, why would i be. It probably changed years ago and I didn't know. It's really hard to figure out policy when there are changes the website isn't user friendly at all and even when the bank tellers don't know information in my case the managers didn't either. I was very polite and patient (hard to believe these days that a customer would be that way) but they were polite back and uninformative when it seemed like they knew it just wasn't possible to help me get more money from my account than 500$ at a time and then 500$ more in an atm. I wish they would have just told me that there wasn't a way to raise it since I don't have a credit score, instead of wasting my time looking for a phone number that didn't exist. Some things in life cost more than $1000 and I don't like using credit cards. I understand why they have limits but a customer should be able to raise them 24 hours in case something happens like they need new tires on a sunday. Then there are the sneaky charges they put on accounts without asking like paper statements and the only way to take them off is to request it after noticing. And this is something that most places do anyways but their interest rates are so low that you can't earn any interest because you're paying fees that are more than the interest you would make on a savings account. This credit union is inconvenient and now they have sneaky charges and low interest rates on savings accounts that make it not worth the inconvenience. ECCU/Arbor was a credit union, years ago, but now they're acting like a bank. I'm leaving as soon as possible.

I've worked with Tonya on a few recreational loans for boat sales. She's incredibly quick to respond and very fast to get my customers approved. Highly recommended
