Michigan Community Credit Union in Jackson, MI

My husband and I have used MCCU since we got married. We recently did our home mortgage through them and they were AMAZING. Their customer service is always great. Whenever we contact them it doesn't feel like we are going to a big bank where we are just a number. We feel like highly valued credit union members. We plan on staying at MCCU for as long as we are in Jackson.

i have been a member for 27 years now. This last year has been horrible for this credit union. I've went in so many time to talk about getting a home loan, personal loan, and other money issues. Every time I came in everyone in the loan department was busy so I was asked to leave my number and name and they would call me. Never did, every time I called, they never answered and would never call me back. Then the one time I got a loan agent to see me they told me they would have to talk to the board and would call me back by the end of the week. Guess what never called me and when I called they wouldn't answer or re turn my call. Then I finally got sick of it and start to leave for a different credit union after 27 year I was done. Cascades credit union was amazing, EECU wasnt bad, but Michigan Community Credit Union is terrible. I dont know what they did to screw up everything but this Credit Union is the worst I know. The new things they are doing is screwing me over on money I went to close my credit card 2 -3 months ago, i payed it off and had it closed. well they didnt closed it and some how a charge happened not saying the charge is all their fault could be mine too but if the card would have been closed when I went in to get it closed the charge never would have happened. Well I payed the charged and asked for the amount to close the account again. I was then told and payed it and said ill be in as soon as i can to sign for it to be closed again. well here it is I get another bill and the branch manager states its there fault for the mess up but yet I have to pay for there mess ups. Something that should have been done 3 months ago with no use since then and I'm still getting hit with there crap because they cant get there crap together. You all have a lot to do to fix this Credit Union. It needs to be fix bad.

I have been with EECU and Michigan Community CU since 1965 and was very satisfied but I am seriously thinking of going elsewhere. The reason being is that there is no place centrally located in Jackson. I either have to travel on 127N, or Michigan Center which has 2 locations, or Spring Arbor to do my banking is ridiculous. Earlier you could make deposits at gas stations and it was okay but now that is no longer possible. Tired of getting on highways highways to get to my credit union.

Good local community bank. We hold a loan here and they have treated us very well.
