American 1 Credit Union in Grass Lake Charter Township, MI

I'm not sure what happened to the other 2 reviewers but the Grass Lake branch is always good. I have accounts there and have had a couple of loans without issue. Employees are always friendly.

Sad. 8 months ago I would recommend to everyone I talked to. Last 2 months have been nothing but head aches. My suggestion is stay in good with your bank or find another one local. Used to be great before they hired in or transferred in all these new people. Used to be about us, now you are just a number. If you're an inconvenience they find excuses not to do what they can for you. They even have a customer in there but sadly will not let me deposit my checks. I am sitting in their parking lot and disappointed with the way this bank is handled. They told me they are already closed and cannot extend the time, but if there is a customer in there are they really closed?

I have had the worst experience with American 1 they gave me 4 over draft fees all in one day without letting me know even though I had checked my account the previous day and I wasn't in the hole. They're good people that work there don't get me wrong, but the company in general is just very poor. I recommend to anyone who thinks about getting American 1 to choose a different credit union if you can.
