Community Choice Credit Union in Farmington Hills, MI

The absolute worst bank ever... trying to get a release on a lein is absolutely PAINSTAKING. They say lowest rates, but many other banks will rate match....please take advantage of that option, even though most banks are still lower like Elga. I can see why there are so many one star ratings.

Quick review: Great place! Great concept! Really there is absolutely no comparison between credit unions and banks! Credit unions use profits to help their members. Banks use profits to make a few VERY rich. In depth review: Credit unions are what money should be about! Money should just be a means to help one another. From the second you drive to this place, which is the headquarters of Community Choice Credit Union (CCCU), you know that they exist just to serve their members! I drove there to speak to Alan Bergstrom on the morning of 3/4/16. Alan Is the chief of marketing for all of CCCU, but he made himself readily accessible to speak with a concerned member! I was concerned that CCCU may follow what some other credit unions had done. Some other credit unions have started to pay their board of directors. If CCCU was to start down this path, I would have to find another credit union. But Alan assured me that CCCU does NOT pay its board members, and there are processes in place to make sure that this never happens! He told me that even I could run for a board position! Every member of CCCU really does own part of the credit union! So, when I first drove to this headquarters of CCCU, I see a few open spots. These open spots are the closest parking spots to the entrance, but there were like 20+ cars parked in other spots. This was so foreign to me that I didn't park in one of those spots, but in a spot further from the door. Alan later explained that those spots are for me! Because all CCCU exists for is to serve its members! So after parking and right when you walk in, you can see a sign that explains the simple history of of CCCU. CCCU started with a local neighborhood getting together and putting $5 each into a collection. This collection was then used to borrow money to people who were in need. This was necessary because it had become very difficult for people to borrow from banks. This is still very true today. CCCU is a true source of light in a very dark world! I want to thank everyone who is a part of this! Keep up the good work!

You guys are the best with you have great rates

the e-commerce is difficult to navigate not intuitive I was calling to make a payment but they wanted 15$ to do a over the phone payment and i complained and she waived this fee, but why 15$ to begin with ??

I have been a member since..... I'll ruffly say 2008. I originally opened a personal and business account with the branch located in Redford. I had my complaints regarding the branch service but never the banking. Since I've moved my business and banking to the Farmington Hills branch I have been nothing but pleased. This credit union is amazing to me. I have referred my husband, daughter, brother-in-law, nephew and a few friends and they too have had amazing experiences with them. I have several car loans, personal loans, as well as utilize their credit card service. I will never do business with any other credit union!! Keep up the great work guys, you all are awesome!
